A beautiful part of east coast park great for picnics and small babies due to the thoughtful water play area for young ones, where they can splash about in clean water, play with mini fountains and enjoy a cooling off session without needing to go on the beach. For older brothers and sisters there’s a magnificent (and I mean magnificent) climbing area and giant slide next to the water play area. You’ve got a big field for sitting and it’s right next to Burger King and other cafes and a car park. 2 minutes walk from the seafront.
Enjoyed with young kids .. slides are really good and large , they have two... The wading pool is nice for small ones ... Spotted mosquitoes so bring along some repellent... Nice place to entertain kids for an hour or two.. some food options also nearby , so it's really a nice package
Nice playground for the kids to climb and slide, enough cafes and food stops for the adults...
Seems like there is more an minimum age of 13 years for the slides, probably for safety?
Bored of the playground, just walk over to the beach for some cooling sea breeze
Relatively new place for kids to play around with some food options. There is one open food place with some halal stalls, one small bakery, some other food options like Thai food and drinking place.
There is one Burger King at the location which is always quiet and empty. There is plenty of car park lots which are reasonably charged.
There are kids play area and slides to try. Spotted one bicycle station nearby to rent and ride if you wish to.
Not very happening place at is corner of East Coast park but worth exploring with family and kids.
Fun place to bring the kids to, though there is an advisory that only above 13 may use the facilities. Then again it is for their safety. From for the kids to climb up and down the netting and two long slides for them to swish down, though it is not smooth at all.
Finally came to check out the tallest outdoor play feature located at the old Big Splash site. There’s a shelter drop off point and ample parking lots available.
With two long slides as the main feature, one located on the 3rd floor & the other on the fourth. To get to the slides, children & parents can either climb through the climbing feature that located right in the middle or go up the ramp that’s just at the side. Do note that slide can get pretty hot in the afternoon so highly recommend to go in the early morning or evening time.
There’s also a large sand pit for the kids to play. A water play area located at the back of the slides. But currently it’s closed. Also found a small Nature Play Garden at the back for the kids to explore.
There are plenty of food choices available nearby if one is hungry after playing.
Revamped big splash - Free and clean and fun! Opened a month ago, made for 13+ year olds but lots of 4+ year olds were there too with parental supervision. There's space for picnic while the kids move around, or there's also old town white coffee, burger king, and a little indoor playland once upon a time. Highly recommend sports shoes, it'll be tough with slippers. Slides aren’t slippery anymore thought!
Less visited and more fun spot on East Coast Park. Has a giant playground which is fun for both young and old.
Playground features a two slides which are accessible via a walk up ramp or you can choose to climb up using the rope mesh. This place also has a wading pool and eateries like Burger King.
Being located next to the beach it’s fun family place for people of all ages. Besides driving you can reach here on foot or cycle via the underpass which opens near the Chinese swimming club
